AIPPC is one of the Founders of the Italian Federation of the Associations of Psychotherapy (FIAP) founded in 1997 with the aim of: promoting a confrontation and an exchange of ideas and experiences among the associations which espouse different orientations of psychotherapy (formally accredited at a national and international level); representing Italian psychotherapy at the European level, by becoming a member of the "European Association of Psychotherapy" (EAP); operating as the Italian "umbrella organization" for psychotherapy, recognised for the issuing of the "European Certificate" to the psychotherapists who are members of their respective professional associations (psychological or medical) and who have completed a training in an approach scientifically recognised at an international level.
					In order to achieve such objectives, AIPPC produces a periodical newsletter that is mailed free of charge to its members; promotes and organizes meetings, conferences, congresses, and symposia at national and international level; collaborates with other Associations and Institutions which have similar objectives.
